New renderings by Antunovich Associates reveal a possible development at 1050 W Van Buren Street in the West Loop. Located on a corner lot at the intersection of W Van Buren Street and W Gladys Avenue, the project will consist of a 21-story mixed-use tower. The nearest public transportation is the 126 CTA bus at the corner of W Van Buren Street and N Aberdeen Street. The nearest CTA L station is the Racine stop, serviced by the Blue Line, a five-minute walk from the site. Tandem Partners, LLC is listed as the developer of the proposal.

Renovation Permits Filed for The Hoxton at 200 N Green Street in Fulton Market, West Loop

Renovation permits were approved last month for The Hoxton, a 12-story hotel at 200 N Green Street in Fulton Market, West Loop. Located between W Lake Street and W Fulton St, the interior lot is three blocks east of the Morgan CTA L station, serviced by the Green and Pink Lines. Hospitality group Ennismore under the 200 Green Developer LLC is listed as the owner behind the applications, reporting $135,000 as the cost for the renovations.

Renderings Revealed for Two Towers at 1400 & 1440 W Randolph Street in the West Loop

Permits have been filed for two towers in the West Loop. The first tower, at 1400 W Randolph Street, will be a 25-story mixed-use building. The second tower, at 1440 W Randolph Street will be an 11-story residential structure. The project site is located along W Randolph Street, with 1400 W Randolph sitting on a corner lot at the intersection of W Randolph Street and N Ogden Avenue. 1440 W Randolph Avenue sits on an interior lot along W Randolph Street between N Ogden Avenue and W Lake Street, across the street from Union Park. The nearest public transportation is Ashland CTA L station, serviced by the Green and Pink Lines, a five-minute walk away from either property. MP Union Park LLC is listed as the owner behind the applications, likely an LLC for Marquette Companies, a local real estate company, who is developing both properties simultaneously.

Foundation permits were filed earlier this year for Onni Group’s 32-story residential building at 354 N Union Avenue, at the northeast edge of West Loop. The site is bound by N Union Avenue and N Halsted Street on its east and west edges, respectively, as well as the neighboring K2 Apartments at the northern edge. Nearby bus route access includes a three-minute walk east to Route 56’s Desplaines & Fulton, as well as a seven-minute walk northwest to Route 8’s Halsted & Hubbard. Access to the CTA L includes the Grand Station serviced by the Blue Line, which is an eight-minute walk northwest, and the Clinton Station serviced by the Green and Pink Lines which is a ten-minute walk southeast. Beyond bus and light rail, the property sits at a major transit junction between the Kennedy Expressway, Metra rail lines, and Union Pacific rail lines.

The project site is located along W Kinzie St, spanning an entire block from N Aberdeen St to N May Street. The nearest public transportation is the 65 CTA bus accessed at the Grand and Aberdeen stop less than a five-minute walk away. The Morgan CTA L station, serviced by the Green and Pink Lines, is less than a ten-minute walk away. David Paino of Trammell Crow is listed as the owner behind the applications.

The project is branded as “1400 Monroe” and permit filings list 1400 Monroe Owner LLC as responsible for the development. The corner lot is located at the intersection of W Monroe Street and S Loomis Street, and lies just north from Skinner park and one block west of Mark T. West Elementary School. The 20 bus route runs just north of the property along W Madison Street, with the nearest stop one block away on S Loomis Street. The north-and-south-oriented 9 bus route is also located in the vicinity, with stations two blocks northwest and two blocks southwest. Nearby CTA L stations include a seven-minute walk southeast to Racine station on the Blue Line, as well as a 12-minute walk northwest to Ashland station on the Pink and Green Lines.
