1200 W Fulton Market Receives First Demolition Permit

The first demolition permit has now been issued for a major new mixed-use development at 1200 W Fulton Street in Fulton Market. The development will replace a parking lot and three existing one-story industrial buildings with three structures, delivering 1.5 million square feet of space designed by Hartshorne Plunkard Architecture. The developer, Fulton Street Companies, is partnering with Waterton, a local landlord company, and Harrison Street Real Estate Capital .

Thor Equities Finalizing Purchase of High-Profile Fulton Market Site

Thor Equities is currently in negotiations to purchase one of the few remaining development sites in Fulton Market district. The vacant 2.7-acre site along the west side of Peoria Street at the Metra tracks is being sold by meat wholesaler Nealey Foods, with the purchase price expected to be more than $100 million.

The project has taken the 11th place in the 2022 year-end countdown and is located at the corner of W Fulton Street. The construction has now been cleared to rise over its low-height industrial neighbors.

Committee On Design Reviews Updated Plans For 330 N Green Street In Fulton Market

The Committee on Design has reviewed the updated plans for 330 N Green Street in Fulton Market. Located just north of the intersection with W Wyman Street and replacing a vacant lot that was once the home of Coyne College, the mixed-use proposal is moving forward with a new taller and slimmer proposal we last covered in October. The Gensler-designed tower will be the third in the immediate area by developer Sterling Bay, with 360 N Green Street reaching its final height this week just to the north.

Exterior Facade Nears Roofline for “The Row” in Fulton Market

Facade pieces can be seen nearing the top of “The Row”, a new 43-story mixed-use tower located at 900 W Randolph Street in Fulton Market. Developed by Related Midwest, the 495-foot edifice is West Loop’s second-ever skyscraper (above 150 meters in height), with the first being 727 W Madison Street, built in 2018. The project will bring 300 total residential units to the neighborhood, of which 60 will be affordable. There will be a 146-vehicle garage embedded within the podium.

LG Development Group has planned the 214-foot-tall structure to be situated on an L-shaped site. This structure will feature 10,700 square feet of retail space and 363 apartment units.
