Hotel at 1016 W Lake Street Receives Plan Commission Approval in Fulton Market

A new 15-story hotel at 1016 W Lake Street, Fulton Market, has been approved by the Plan Commission. Cogswell Realty and Erol Stapleton bought the site for $6.6 million, and are planning 143 hotel rooms, which is an increase from the originally planned count of 130. The ground level will house a lobby and a small commercial space, with the second and third levels designated for amenities. A 3,400 square-foot sky-lounge with an outdoor deck is planned for the top floor.

Updated Apartment Tower Plans Revealed for 220 N Ada Street in Fulton Market

Updated plans have been presented for a 29-story apartment tower at 220 N Ada Street in Fulton Market. This mixed-use project is a joint venture between Shapack Partners, CRG, and Bill Williams of KMW Communities, LLC. An updated iteration of the previously proposed 1353 W Fulton, the new tower is intended to occupy a 27,244 square-foot plot, currently the site of a one-story warehouse that is expected to be demolished next month.

Work To Commence On Phase One Of 310 N Peoria Street In Fulton Market

Construction is set to commence on the first phase of the mixed-use development at 310 N Peoria Street in Fulton Market. Located on the corner with W Wayman Street, the two-phase proposal was initially approved in 2021 after its announcement the year prior. The project is being led by Fulton Market Hospitality and MRR 310 Peoria LLC, with Hirsch MPG working on its design.

360 N Green Street Approaches Exterior Completion as Countdown’s Third Tallest Project

As the third tallest construction project in our year-end countdown, the 24-story 360 N Green Street in Fulton Market is undergoing final exterior and landscaping work. The 500,000-square-foot office building, developed by Sterling Bay, will feature office spaces, 5,400 square feet of retail space, and a range of tenant amenities. Floor plates will scale up to over 26,000 square feet, offering tenants access to private balconies between 249 and 523 square feet on each floor.

225 N Elizabeth in Fulton Market Approaches Facade Completion as Seventh Tallest Construction Project

Facade work is nearing completion at the 225 North Elizabeth Street project in Fulton Market, a collaboration between Sterling Bay and Ascentris. This 28-story mixed-use building, situated at the corner of Fulton and Elizabeth Streets, ranks seventh in the construction countdown and has reached its maximum height of 314 feet.

Under development by Fulton St. Co and JDL, the building ranks number 19 in our year-end countdown of the tallest construction projects in Chicago, with a height of 172 feet. Offering 409,000 square feet of space, it is primarily designed to accommodate office space above ground-floor retail.

Sitting adjacent to the CTA tracks on the intersection with N Carpenter Street, we first covered the proposal a month ago as its initial details were revealed.
