The Chicago City Council has approved the two-tower development at 170 N May Street and 175 N Racine Avenue in Fulton Market. The approval comes after the Plan Commission’s earlier this year, as Chicago based LG Development pivoted from previously announced plans for the site by a different architect and included land north of W Lake Street.

A permit application has been submitted for the first of three towers at 370 N Morgan Street in Fulton Market. Located on the intersection with W Kinzie Street, the multi-phase project has been in development since 2022 and appears to be moving forward as interest rates soften. Developer Vista Property Group had received all of the necessary city approvals last year already.
New plans have been revealed for the multi-phase development at 1325 W Fulton Street within Fulton Market District. The block long site currently sits empty and has been in the hands of developer Sterling Bay since 2017. Now after a change in the market, the property will shift from offices to a multi-phase residential development in collaboration with Sulo Development.
At 310 North Peoria Street in the Fulton Market District, a fifth story is being added to the former Wolf, Sayer, and Heller warehouse building. Designed by Adler & Sullivan, the building is being preserved and renovated as part of a mixed-use development that will include a hotel on the current Fulton Market Kitchen site at 311 North Sangamon. Renovations include adding a restaurant with outdoor dining space at street level, plus a lobby that will eventually connect to the future hotel.
