The Community Development Commission has initially approved funding for the mixed-use development at 4715 N Western Avenue in Lincoln Square. Located on the intersection with W Leland Avenue, just south of W Lawrence Avenue, the lots currently serve as a city-owned surface parking lot whose sale is also included in the package. Developer The Community Builders, who operate other residential properties in the city, has partnered up with local architecture firm DesignBridge on the design of the new building across the street from the soon-to-be renovated DANK Haus.

The Chicago Community Development Commission has approved financing for the residential development at 9633 S Cottage Grove Avenue in Pullman. Located north of the intersection with E 99th Street and surrounded by rail tracks, I-94, and Chicago State University, the project replaces a one-story commercial building near a heavily forested vacant lot. Dubbed 43Green Phase II, the project comes after the completion and success of the first phase west of the CTA tracks. Initial permits have been approved for the residential conversion of the former Lorali Hotel at 1039 W Lawrence Avenue in Uptown. Located on the southwest corner of the intersection with N Kenmore Avenue, the empty building most recently served as an SRO three years ago before being vacated by its current owner. Owner Jim Stoller has been working towards making the conversion a reality since 2019 when he received zoning approval along with relocating the building’s past residents at his own expense.
