Inspire Woodlawn Townhomes are under construction in the 6200 block of South Woodlawn Avenue in the Woodlawn neighborhood on Chicago’s South Side. Developer KMW Communities is building the Inspire Woodlawn complex, which includes single-family homes that are already built and sold, and six simplex and duplex condominiums that have yet to begin construction. Two of the single-family residences are located right across the street from these townhomes.
Additional funding has been announced for the Invest South/West winning proposal at 3601 W Chicago Avenue in Humboldt Park. More commonly known as The Ave, the new building would sit on the corner with Central Park Avenue and replace a large vacant lot. The project was originally announced over two years ago by developers KMW Communities and POAH.
47th Ward Alderman Matt Martin announced Tuesday on Twitter that the new residential building at 4715 North Lincoln Avenue in Lincoln Square has a new name and website. Now known as The Canvas at Lincoln Plaza, the 63-unit affordable development from The Community Builders will begin accepting applications this Thursday, October 17th.
There are a lot more bricks on the façade of 4715 North Western Avenue than when we last stopped by in July. In fact, there appears to be only a small section on the southwest corner of the building that remains to be done. Located at the corner of Western and Leland Avenues in Lincoln Square, time is of the essence for the building, as developer The Community Builders expects to have residents begin moving in before 2025 begins.
