Partial funding has been announced for the affordable development at 3150 N Racine Avenue in Lakeview. Sitting on the corner with W Belmont Avenue, the project was approved by the city back in 2022. The proposal is being led by Mercy Housing and expands the existing SRO with a design developed by LBBA Architects.
Further details have been revealed for the mixed-use affordable development at 2525 N Kedzie Boulevard in Logan Square. Sitting on the northeast corner of the intersection with N Linden Place, we originally covered the announcement of the project earlier this year. The proposal is being led by Bickerdike Redevelopment with local firm LBBA Architects working on the design.

Located on the southwest corner of the intersection with E 53rd Street, the proposal will replace a long-time vacant lot. The efforts are being led by developers The Renaissance Collaborative (TRC) and Housing Opportunities & Maintenance for the Elderly (HOME).
Home sales have surpassed the 50-percent mark for Harrison Row Townhomes, located in East Garfield Park. Led by Structured Development, under the affordable Requirements Ordinance (ARO), the program targets households earning up to 120% of the area median income. Fulfilling the ARO obligation for Structured’s Wendelin Park in Clybourn Corridor, these 40 townhomes are required to remain affordable for at least 30 years, with oversight by the Chicago Housing Trust (CHT).
Further details have been revealed for the conversion of the Diplomat Motel at 5230 N Lincoln Avenue in Lincoln Square. Sitting on the northern edge of the neighborhood, we covered its initial city approval into transitional housing mid-last year. The project is being developed between the city and the Department of Public Health, with Gensler working on its design.
