Final Proposals Revealed For DPD East Garfield Park RFQ

The Chicago Department of Planning and Development (DPD) has announced their three finalists for the East Garfield Park RFQ. Although the Request For Qualifications (RFQ) is made up of three sites, this first phase will focus on one site across the street from The Hatchery located at 3209 W Lake Street. Right on the intersection with N Kedzie Avenue, all proposals will defer the two remaining sites onto a future development phase.

Groundbreaking Held For Roosevelt Square In Near West Side

A groundbreaking has been held for the mixed-use development dubbed Roosevelt Square in the Near West Side. Located on multiple sites across the area near the intersections of W Roosevelt Road and S Racine Avenue, the project will not only construct new housing but also renovate multiple existing structures within its boundaries. Developer Related Midwest is leading the efforts along with the Chicago Housing Authority (CHA) and various architects. YIMBY previously reported on all the details of the development during its approval last year.

Initial Details Revealed For Affordable Housing at 2140 S Ashland Avenue In Heart Of Chicago

Initial details have been revealed for a new mixed-use development at 2140 S Ashland Avenue in Heart of Chicago. Located on the intersection with W 21st Place and across the street from Benito Juarez High School, the new proposal will replace a vacant lot near the industrial heart of the predominantly Latin neighborhood right on the border with Pilsen. The project comes to us from local developer The Resurrection Project with various affordable developments nearby. At the moment, an architect is unknown.
