1200 W Fulton Market Receives First Demolition Permit

The first demolition permit has now been issued for a major new mixed-use development at 1200 W Fulton Street in Fulton Market. The development will replace a parking lot and three existing one-story industrial buildings with three structures, delivering 1.5 million square feet of space designed by Hartshorne Plunkard Architecture. The developer, Fulton Street Companies, is partnering with Waterton, a local landlord company, and Harrison Street Real Estate Capital.

Updated plans have been revealed for the mixed-use development at 1300 W Carroll Avenue in the West Loop. Located on the northwest corner with N Elizabeth Street and replacing a vacant lot that once held the ADM Wheat Mill silos, the multi-phase project has now received a redesign after feedback from the community and the Department of Planning and Development. Developer Sterling Bay is still working with global design firm SOM on the proposal which received some major changes from its initial announcement in November 2021.

Construction Wraps Up for 120 Willard in West Loop

Construction is now crossing the finish line for 120 N Willard Court, aka “120 Willard”, a five-story residential building situated just south of Randolph Street in West Loop. Developed by PLD Custom Homes, this development will replace a pre-Chicago Fire single-family residence, which was demolished in December 2022, and will provide seven housing units and a seven-vehicle parking garage.

The Chicago Plan Commission has approved the mixed-use development at 415 N Sangamon Street in the West Loop. Located on the northeast corner of the intersection with W Kinzie Street the project will break the mold of green-design with an innovative facade. Renderings were revealed earlier this year at a local community meeting, now developer Fortem Voluntas Partners is moving forward with the proposal designed by local firm Eckenhoff Saunders as it begins to gather momentum.
