Foundation work is now underway for a four-story residential building at 133 S Ashland Avenue, located near the western edge of West Loop. Prior to construction, the property was occupied by a parking lot and a two-story commercial building that was demolished in 2019.
Since last month’s update, structural work has topped out for 1400 W Randolph Street, a 282-foot tall mixed-use high rise at the western edge of Fulton Market in West Loop. Marquette Companies is the developer of the 26-story project, with plans for 278 rental units and 10,000 square feet of retail at its ground floor.
Demolition is now complete at the future site of Madison + Carpenter, a planned six-story development to be located at 6 N Carpenter Street in West Loop. ZSD is the developer of the mixed-use building, which will yield ground-level retail and 13 condominiums on its upper five floors. The site was previously occupied by four low-rise commercial buildings.
Demolition has wrapped up for a former single-story bank, clearing the way for a new five-story mixed-use building at Fulton Market‘s 1020 W Randolph Street. L3 Capital is the developer of the West Loop project, whose new edifice will house ground-level retail space and 22,000 square feet of offices on the upper four floors. Programming will also offer tenants a sixth-floor amenity penthouse and a nearly 2,000-square-foot terrace with skyline views.
Renderings have been revealed for a proposed mixed-use development at 1217 W Washington Boulevard in the West Loop. The property consists of three adjoining parcels with two existing historic office buildings. A vacant lot separates the two and is the site of the new construction. The overall property is bounded by W Washington Boulevard to the north, N Racine Avenue to the east, a public alley to the south, and a small surface parking lot to the west. DAC Development Group is the developer behind the proposal.
