Permits Issued for 1340 W Washington Boulevard in West Loop

A tower crane permit has been issued for 1340 W Washington Boulevard in West Loop. The seven-story parking structure with accessory retail is being co-developed by the Chicago Journeyman Plumber Local 130 UA and the Chicago Title and Trust Company. Parking will yield a total of 502 parking spaces and 36 bike spaces, and will be situated at the northern end of the 4.1-acre Plumbers Union campus. Rising adjacent to the organization’s main building, the site was previously occupied by a surface parking lot.

Demolition Progresses for ADM Wheat Mill at 1300 W Carroll Avenue in West Loop

Demolition is around halfway complete for the six-story ADM Wheat Mill at 1300 W Carroll Avenue in West Loop. Sterling Bay had bought the property for $25 million in 2018 once the previous owner, ADM Milling Co, decided to move its production facility to Mendota.

Brick Cladding Begins for 1400 Monroe in West Loop

Brick installation has begun for JK Equities‘ 1400 Monroe, a seven-story condominium building located near the southwest corner of West Loop. The project addressed as 1404 W Monroe Street will yield 42 residences, ranging in size from 1,242 to 3,887 square feet. Prices will fall between $650,000 and $2.5 million.

Located on a midblock site, the property fronts N Morgan Street between W Randolph Street and W Lake Street. The parcel will be bound by alleyways to the north, south, and west. Sterling Bay is the developer behind the proposal.

Facade Work Nearing Completion for Fulton Labs in Fulton Market District

Cladding installation is progressing rapidly at the now topped-out Fulton Labs, rising 16 stories at 400 N Aberdeen Street in the Fulton Market district. Developed by Trammell Crow Company in collaboration with Zoë Life Sciences, the 420,000-square-foot building will be oriented towards biosciences and biotechnology companies, and will be the second installation of the Fulton Labs complex with 725,000 square feet of combined space. Programming will primarily consist of office and lab space, along with secondary lobby, retail, storage, and amenity space.

City Council Approves Mixed-Use Development at 37 S Sangamon Street in West Loop

The Chicago City Council has approved a mixed-use development located at 37 S Sangamon Street in West Loop. Located across from Mary Bartelme Park, the project site is a corner lot at the intersection of S Sangamon Street and W Monroe Street. Fern Hill is the developer behind the proposal.

City Council Approves Demolition for 1020 W Randolph Street in the West Loop

The Chicago City Council has given the final approval for demolition of the existing structure at 1020 W Randolph Street in the West Loop. Located within Fulton-Randolph Market District, and the northeast corner of W Randolph Street and N Carpenter Street, the current site conditions consist of an existing one-story bank with drive-through that is the subject of this demolition approval. L3 Capital is the developer behind the project.

Located at the intersection of N Green Street and W Lake Street, the subject property is made up of two lots that will be combined. These include the original Subarea B from the Shapack Partners’ 167 N Green Street project and the existing structure at 817 W Lake Street. Sancerre Realty is the developer behind the proposal.

Structural Work Reaches Roof Height for 15 N Elizabeth Street in West Loop

Structural work has climbed to the fourth floor of 15 N Elizabeth Street, a five-story residential building near the southwest corner of West Loop. The condominum development is a collaboration between Ranquist Development Group, Jodi Development, and Campbell Coyle.
