New permits have been issued for a three-story multi-unit building located at 2611 West Haddon Avenue in the West Town neighborhood. YIMBY reported on demolition permits that were issued last week. The permit owner is once again listed as 2609-11 W Haddon LLC and plans will include five units, a basement level, a rooftop deck, and two detached garages for a total of five vehicles. The building will feature a front deck on the second floor and rear decks on the first and third floors.

Demolition Permits Issued for 831 N Maplewood Avenue in West Town

Permits were issued on the 29th for the removal of a two-story residential building located at 831 N Maplewood Avenue in West Town. The permit owner is listed as 831 N Maplewood LLC and they were also issued a permit for a new construction back in early October. The new building plans consist of three total units, a basement level, a rooftop deck, front and rear decks, and a detached three-vehicle garage with its own rooftop deck.

The property is zoned as an R-5 construction allowing for two-flats and single-family homes. The permit’s owners have been listed as NSL Development this will be a two-flat construction with a basement. The building will also have a roof deck and rear decks on all levels, as well as a detached three-vehicle garage with its own rooftop deck.

Salt Shed Announces Opening For Indoor Venue In West Town

An opening date has been announced for the next phase of the Salt Shed entertainment complex at 1357 N Elston Avenue in West Town. Located on the intersection with N Magnolia Avenue along the north branch of the Chicago River, the multi-building project partially opened earlier this year with its outdoor venue holding its first concert to much fanfare. Developers R2 Companies, Blue Star Properties, and Skydeck have been working with locally-based architecture firm Lamar Johnson Collaborative on its design.

Final Exterior and Landscaping Work Underway for Lincoln Yards’ 1229 W Concord Place

The eight-story biosciences office building is part of Sterling Bay‘s much larger Lincoln Yards project, which covers 55 acres and is expected to bring new commercial, residential, and recreational spaces to the north branch of Chicago River.

Owned and developed by Logistics Property Company (LPC), the 11-acre site was once home to a Peoples Gas production facility and required extensive rehabilitation following its previous use.
