A construction permit has been approved for a new residential building at 1736 W Superior Street in West Town. The upcoming development is slated to be a three-story residence housing three units and equipped with a basement.

Additionally, the third-floor is planned to feature an front deck, a three-story stairway/walkway, a 6-foot front iron fence, and a three-car garage at the rear, according to the submitted plans.

The listed owner of the project is 1736 Superior LLC. Michael S. Cox, is behind the architectural layout. The planned design details have not been provided.

Closest bus options include the nearby Route 66 at Chicago & Paulina. For CTA L service, the Blue Line’s Division station is within a 12-minute walk.

GB Construction LLC will be the leading general contractor, overseeing the overall construction. With a reported cost of $720,000, the project does not yet have a publicly announced expected completion date.
