The law firm, Bryan Cave Leighton Paisner (BCLP) has downsized its Chicago office located at 161 N Clark Street in The Loop. The firm partnered with NELSON Worldwide for the renovation-in-place which converted offices from three to two floors. These renovations come in response to changing business needs and shifting work models.
A new permit was issued late last week for a new three-story residential building located at 1635 S California Avenue in the Pilsen. The permit has been listed under the 1635 S California Boulevard, and the owners are indicated as Pilsen Rentals, LLC. Per plans, the construction will be comprised of three total dwelling units with a basement. Each unit will be outfitted with a metal porch at the rear. Plans also indicate the presence of a three-vehicle parking pad. The property lot is currently vacant.
Optima‘s seven-story mixed-use development known as Optima Lakeview has announced its grand opening. The rental apartment building is located at 3460 N Broadway on the former site of Treasure Island Foods in Chicago’s Lakeview neighborhood and is featuring the region’s first year-round rooftop pool.
Permits were issued on this past week for a new three-story residential building located at 1528 N Wood Street in the Wicker Park neighborhood. The project will replace an existing structure. The permit owner is listed as Volo Holdings LLC, and plans indicate that the development will include three total units, each equipped with outdoor space at the rear. There will be a rooftop deck, a basement, and a detached three-vehicle garage with its own rooftop deck.
A small-scale condominium development is planned for Lake View. The project has been proposed by Property People LLC and will be located at 3035 N Sheffield Avenue, just north of W Wellington Avenue and the Wellington station for the CTA Brown Line. A single-family home currently occupies the lot.
