A demolition permit has been issued to remove a two-story multi-unit building located at 3452 S Wood Street in the McKinley Park neighborhood. The permit’s owner has been listed as Shi Xin Tan.
New permits have been issued for a three-story multi-unit building located at 2260 W Erie Street in the West Town neighborhood. The parcel address is 2258 W Erie Street and the permit owner has been listed as Faha Management and plans show this will be a two-flat, with a basement level and a rooftop deck. The building will feature rear decks on the first and second floors as well as a connecting metal egress stair.
A demolition permit has been issued to remove a two-story multi-unit residence located at 1952 W Morse Avenue in the Rogers Park neighborhood. The permit’s owner has been listed as Ilya Pisarenko. Pisarenko applied to have the property site rezoned to RS-3 designation and split the existing lot into two zoning lots where two single-family residences would be allowed. An earlier permit was also submitted and issued for the removal of an existing coach house on the lot.
Permits have been issued for constructing a new five-story residential building located at 224 S Ashland Avenue in the Near West Side neighborhood. The permit lists both Roma Fund Investments and Viktor Jakovljevic Revocable Trust as owners. Axios Architects are serving as the architects of record for the project which will involve a ground-floor garage with 56 parking spaces, and 56 dwelling units spread across the remaining four floors. The development will neighbor the existing Circle Park Apartments which is just north of the planned build.

The site was formerly home to Start Auto Repair and Body Shop. McDonagh Demolition Inc is serving as the demolition contractor for this project. At the time of publication, no plans have been submitted for any future developments at the site.
