Demolition permits have been issued for the removal of a two-story multi-unit building located at 2921 N Southport Avenue in the Lake View neighborhood. The current structure has a frame exterior and is accompanied by a detached frame garage which has also been slated for removal. The permit lists the McKinney Group as the owner. No plans for any upcoming builds have been submitted.
Future residents will find bus access via a four-minute walk south to Diversey & Southport, where they can board Route 76. Access to Route 9 can be found via a seven-minute walk west to the Ashland & Wellington stop. Access to the CTA L Brown and Purple Lines can be found at Wellington station, via a 13-minute walk east. There are ample opportunities to enjoy the neighborhood’s nightlife, restaurants, and retail establishments within a 10-minute walk of the property site.
Carlos Group has been listed as the demolition contractor for this site. No site plans or permits have been issued for any potential new projects.
