A demolition permit has been issued to remove a two-story multi-unit residence located at 1952 W Morse Avenue in the Rogers Park neighborhood. The permit’s owner has been listed as Ilya Pisarenko. Pisarenko applied to have the property site rezoned to RS-3 designation and split the existing lot into two zoning lots where two single-family residences would be allowed. An earlier permit was also submitted and issued for the removal of an existing coach house on the lot.

Proposed changes to 1952 W Morse Avenue

The property site is a three-minute walk from the Lunt & Damen stop where bus service for Route 96 can be boarded. Those seeking the CTA L can walk 15 minutes east to the Morse station and join the Red Line. The site is within a five-minute walk of N Clark Street which has many eateries, local grocery stores, and retail options.

MBR Wrecking and Construction is serving as the demolition contractor on this project. The issuance of demolition permits for both the multi-unit and the coach house suggests that permits for the proposed builds are likely to follow.
