Permits have been issued for a new three-story residential building to be located at 5948 S Prairie Avenue in the Grand Boulevard neighborhood. The owner is listed as Roz Holdings LLC and plans indicate this project will house three units, each outfitted with a rear porch. The permits include a detached three-vehicle garage. The development will replace a vacant lot.
Gary Wands is listed as the architect of record. No drawings or renderings have yet been disclosed.
The closest bus service available is Route 3 and can be found at King Drive & 60th Street via a four-minute walk east. The CTA Green Line can also be accessed nearby at the King station via an 11-minute walk south. There are many retail, dining, and lodging options located within walking distance along S Prairie Avenue.
Allbright Construction LLC will act as the general contractor for the $450,000 construction. A full timeline and an anticipated completion date have not yet been revealed.
