Affordable housing developer Standard Communities has secured a 100 percent affordable housing community at the Bryn Mawr Belle Shore Apartments in the Edgewater neighborhood. Located at 1052-1070 W Bryn Mawr Avenue, the project houses 371 units in a mix of studio and one-bedrooms as well as 15,000 square feet of retail space.
This past week, a demolition permit was issued to remove a two-story frame residence along with a detached frame garage located at 4131 N Bell Avenue in the North Center neighborhood. The permit’s owners have been listed as Advance Solutions Group. The property has an RS-3 designation and a permit was issued for the construction of a two-story single-family home with a basement, a detached two-vehicle garage, and fencing around the property.
New construction permits were issued to 723 W Buckingham Place in Lakeview East late last week. The site has RM-4.5 zoning and the permit owner is listed as 723 Buckingham LLC. Plans indicate a four-story masonry build with a total of three units, a rooftop deck, and a detached three-vehicle garage.
Permits were issued early last week for new construction to be located at 4119 N Ashland Avenue in the Lake View neighborhood. The site has RT-4 zoning and will naturally be another residential building. Plans indicate the building will contain six dwelling units, a basement, and a shared rooftop deck. The property will also feature a six-vehicle parking slab at the rear of the building. The permit owner has been listed as 4119 Ashland Corp. The project will replace a former multi-unit building.
