The Chicago City Council has approved a mixed-use development located at 9200 S Burley Avenue in South Chicago. The project was planned by Interfaith Housing Development Corporation and Claretian Associates. The site itself sits at the southwest corner of E 92nd Street and S Burley Avenue.

Another residential build is coming to the West Loop. Riverside Investment & Development is partnering with Blue Star Properties to co-develop a 14-story building with plans for 198 units to be located at 566 W Van Buren Street. The project is planned for the northeast intersection of Jefferson and Van Buren. The lot is currently occupied by a parking lot and two retail buildings.
Permits were issued on Monday for the construction of a new three-story residential building. The future project will be located at 1646 W Diversey Parkway in Lake View. The owner is listed as Eirpol LLC and plans indicate that there will be six total dwelling units. Michael S Cox is listed as the architect of record. This will be a masonry building with a rooftop deck, and a detached six-vehicle garage. No drawings or renderings have been made public.
Last Wednesday, developer Draper & Kramer presented preliminary plans for its residential development at 1649 N Halsted Street in Old Town. YIMBY previously reported on the upcoming project located north of the intersection with W North Avenue. The project would replace the multi-building complex of the Royal George Theater and its adjoining parking garage.
