A permit was issued last week for the interior renovation of existing office space on the 44th floor of the Willis Tower, located at 233 S Wacker Drive in The Loop. This permit was issued to Industrious, and while not much has been revealed, there will be changes to the existing co-working space. No structural work will be performed and there will not be a change of use for business.
For those curious about transportation to the tower, the nearest CTA L access can be found at the Quincy station via a four-minute walk east. Commuters can then boards the Brown, Orange, Pink, and Purple Lines. The tower is notably well situated for those seeking to enjoy the riverwalk, the lake, or any of the other readily accessible amenities that the Loop has to offer.
Peter Arthur Dubin is listed as the architect of record on the project. At the time of this writing, no drawings or renderings have been disclosed. Development Solutions, Inc will act as the general contractor for the $110,000 construction. A full timeline and an anticipated completion date have not yet been revealed.
