A permit was approved yesterday for a new two-story residential building to be located at 6368 S Ellis Avenue in the Woodlawn neighborhood. The owner is listed under the name Joe Conroy and plans will comprise a two-unit row house and an accompanying four-car garage at the rear. The building will be replacing part of the Ellis Avenue Garden.
New permits were issued for the Park Boulevard Phase 3B development. We previously reported on cassion permits for the neighboring building within the project this past summer. Park Boulevard Phase 3B is being developed by Stateway Associates LLC, the new construction will replace the former Chicago Housing Authority Stateway Gardens housing projects.
Initial caissons permits were issued last week for Howard Brown Health Clinic which will be located at 3501 N Halsted Street in Lake View’s Boystown neighborhood. As we have previously reported, this five-story mixed-use structure will comprise 7,600 square feet of ground-level retail, two floors of clinic space, and three floors of Howard Brown administrative office space on the remaining levels.
A permit was issued last week for the interior renovation of a suite within “The Franklin,” located at 227 W Monroe Street in The Loop. This particular permit was issued for office suite 3550 and work will include interior partitions, as well as electrical, mechanical, and plumbing needs. The permit owner is listed as 227 Monroe Street LLC, and the description indicates that no structural work will be performed. There will not be a change of use for business.
A demolition permit was issued on Friday for a two-story masonry residence along with a detached masonry garage located at 1838 W Grace Street in the North Center neighborhood. The permit’s owners have been listed as Thad Constructions LLC.
