A permit was approved late last week for the demolition of an existing two-story masonry building located at 3651 N Damen Avenue in North Center. The permit owner is listed under the name Northside Properties LLC. We previously reported on new construction at this site in October.
Though demolition is pushing forward and construction is still planned, no drawings or renderings have yet been revealed. The new development will be a three-story residential building and signs point to a masonry exterior.
The closest bus service available is Route 50 at the Damen & Waveland stop just a few steps north of the site. For those looking to board the CTA L, the Brown Line at Addison station is available via a five-minute southeast.
There are many retail and dining options in the vicinity, most of which are located along N Lincoln Avenue within a five-minute walk east. There is green space available at nearby Lois Klein Park which houses a large playground.
G & L Contractors Inc will serve as the contractor for the demolition. Full timeline details and anticipated completion date have not yet been revealed.
