A permit was issued yesterday for the new construction of a four-story residential building at 3653 W Barry Avenue in the Avondale neighborhood. While the main entrance to the building will be at the listed address, according to the permit, the property will sprawl the scope of several addresses ranging from 3649-57 W Barry Avenue, as well as 3057-59 North Lawndale Avenue. The owner is listed as 3057 North Lawndale LLC, and the current plans indicate this project will yield a total of eight dwelling units. There will also be a detached eight-car garage. The lot is currently used for parking.
Andrzej Kacprzynski of Pro-Plan Architects is listed as the architect of record on this project. At the time of this writing, no drawings or renderings have been disclosed, however, plans indicate that this build will have a masonry exterior, and permits issued to 3057 N Lawndale indicate there may be an elevator.
The closest bus service available is Route 56 and can be found at Milwaukee & Lawndale via a two-minute walk west. The CTA Blue Line can be accessed at the Belmont station via a nine-minute walk east. There is an abundance of entertainment, retail, and dining options steps away from the planned project along nearby Milwaukee Avenue.
JZK Development Incorporated will act as the general contractor for the $1.25 million construction. A full timeline and an anticipated completion date have not yet been revealed.

Nice. Avondale lost population 2010-2020 due to deconversions. Looks like property values have climbed enough to merit multi family. Let’s get that population back up!
