Initial caissons permits were issued last week for Howard Brown Health Clinic which will be located at 3501 N Halsted Street in Lake View’s Boystown neighborhood. As we have previously reported, this five-story mixed-use structure will comprise 7,600 square feet of ground-level retail, two floors of clinic space, and three floors of Howard Brown administrative office space on the remaining levels.

The permits issued last week include basement work and a proposed earth retention system and the underpinnings of adjacent foundations. Walter Leroy Eckenhoff of Eckenhoff Saunders Architects is listed as the architect of record for this permit.

James McHugh Construction Co will act as the general contractor for the $4 million construction. A full timeline and an anticipated completion date have not yet been revealed.
