First Phase of Triangle Square Readies for Move-Ins in Bucktown

Work is nearing the finish line for the first phase of construction at Belgravia Group and LMC’s Triangle Square along the North Branch Corridor in Bucktown. The three-building masterplan designed by Lamar Johnson Collaborative, is bound by N Elston Avenue, W Webster Avenue, and the Metra tracks. Combined, this staggered development will yield a total of 370 residences, 56,000 square feet of commercial space, and 343 parking spaces. Two of the three buildings are currently in their final stages of construction, while the third commercial building is awaiting for work to begin.

Committee On Design Reviews Mixed-Use Development At 3201 W 31st Street In Little Village

The Chicago Committee on Design has reviewed a proposed mixed-use development at 3201 W 31st Street in Little Village. Envisioned as a campus, the now 30-acre development aims to bring life to a partially occupied lot enclosed by W 31st Street to the north, S Kedzie Avenue to the east, and the future Cinespace Campus 2 to the west. Developer Chicago Southwest Development Corporation (CSDC) has teamed up with HDR Architecture to design the massive southwest side complex.

Final Brickwork Underway at Southbridge Phase I in Near South Side

Remaining brickwork is wrapping up for the mixed-use Southbridge Phase I in Near South Side. The construction comprises of two six-story buildings under the addresses 2310 S State Street and 2344 S State Street. McCaffrey and The Community Builders‘ plans for this initial stage comprise of a total of a total of 206 mixed-income apartment units and ground-level retail, divided evenly between the two mirrored structures.

Construction Rises Above Grade for 2111 W Caton Street in Wicker Park

Plan Commission Approves Mixed-Use Development At 6300 S Maryland Avenue in Woodlawn

The Chicago Plan Commission has approved a mixed-use development at 6300 S Maryland Avenue in Woodlawn. Dubbed Park Station, the building will rise on a currently empty lot surrounded by various retail buildings, and bound by E 63rd Street to the north and S Maryland Avenue to the west. Designed by FitzGerald Associates, developers Michaels Developments and DL3 Realty aim to bring 58 residential units to the South Side neighborhood.

New Commercial Addition Wraps Up at 44 E Walton Street in Near North Side

Final touches are underway for a two-story commercial addition at 44 E Walton Street in Near North Side. The new wing’s main entrance will be at 937 N Rush Street, and will welcome shoppers to a new venue for Italian fashion brand Brunello Cucinelli.

Plan Commission Approves Mixed-Use Development at 1227 W Washington Boulevard in West Loop

The Chicago Plan Commission has approved a mixed-use development at 1227 W Washington Boulevard in West Loop. Nestled in between two existing brick buildings housing a Goodwill store and various dental offices, the building’s main entrance will face W Washington Boulevard and be a five-minute walk from the McDonald’s global headquarters on W Randolph Street. The $100 million project is being developed by DAC Developments, LLC and designed by Pappageorge Haymes.

Foundation Work Now in Full Swing at 345 N Morgan Street

Caisson drilling has officially begun for Sterling Bay‘s planned 345 N Morgan Street, set to rise 11 stories in West Loop‘s Fulton Market District. The 200,000-square-foot edifice will feature ground-floor commercial space, office space, and tenant amenities.

Caisson Work Begins for 25-Story Tower at 410 S Wabash Avenue in The Loop

Site prep has made significant headway at the site of 410 S Wabash Avenue in The Loop. The planned 25-story tower, under development by LMC, will house a mix of 344 rental apartments and 8,000 square feet of retail. Prior to construction, the site was occupied by a vacant parking lot.

Demolition Wraps Up for 113 E Oak Street in Near North Side

Demolition has completed, with equipment now on-site for a planned two-story retail building penned for Near North Side‘s 113 E Oak Street, just west of Magnificent Mile’s northern end. Filed under the name 113 E Oak Street LLC, the 5,050-square-foot structure will be distributed evenly between both floors.
