Final interior and exterior work is wrapping up for a four-story mixed-use commercial building just across from Wrigley Field in Lake View‘s Wrigleyville.

Permits Issued for 4600 N Kenmore Avenue in Uptown

Partial construction permits have now been issued for a mixed-use development located at 4600 N Kenmore in Uptown. The project will involve the renovation of an existing two-story bank, as well as a new five-story building directly east. Developer Cedar St. Companies received approval this past February to develop the existing masonry building into a theater space. Meanwhile, the new construction will yield 2,500 square feet of ground-level retail, and 62 apartments on the upper floors.

Zoning Approved for 3333 N Lincoln Avenue in Lake View

Zoning has been approved for a mixed-use development at 3333 N Lincoln Avenue by the western edge of Lake View. The project is planned by Sal Sutton of the applicant organization Chicago 3333 Lincoln, LLC.

Construction Complete at City Club Apartments in The Loop

Construction has concluded for City Club Apartments MDA Phase II, a seven-story mixed-use building at 60 E Benton Place in The Loop. The project serves as an addition to City Club Apartments‘ existing 24-story tower, spearheaded by the rental chain’s CEO Jonathan Holtzman. At just under 100 feet to its pinnacle, the connected structure will house a mix of ground-floor retail and 81 apartments.

Renderings Revealed Mixed-Use Development at 160 N Morgan Street in West Loop

Renderings revealed for a proposed mixed-use development at 160 N Morgan Street in West Loop. Located on a midblock site, the property fronts N Morgan Street between W Randolph Street and W Lake Street. The parcel will be bound by alleyways to the north, south, and west. Sterling Bay is the developer behind the proposal.

Facade Work Nearing Completion for Fulton Labs in Fulton Market District

Cladding installation is progressing rapidly at the now topped-out Fulton Labs, rising 16 stories at 400 N Aberdeen Street in the Fulton Market district. Developed by Trammell Crow Company in collaboration with Zoë Life Sciences, the 420,000-square-foot building will be oriented towards biosciences and biotechnology companies, and will be the second installation of the Fulton Labs complex with 725,000 square feet of combined space. Programming will primarily consist of office and lab space, along with secondary lobby, retail, storage, and amenity space.

City Council Approves Mixed-Use Development at 37 S Sangamon Street in West Loop

The Chicago City Council has approved a mixed-use development located at 37 S Sangamon Street in West Loop. Located across from Mary Bartelme Park, the project site is a corner lot at the intersection of S Sangamon Street and W Monroe Street. Fern Hill is the developer behind the proposal.

Podium Cladding Underway for The Bentham in River North

Podium facade work has begun for The Bentham, a 14-story mixed-use building at 146 W Erie Street in River North. Formerly the site of an auto body shop, the near-complete project has been planned and designed by Sedgwick Development. Programming will offer 2,556 square feet of ground-level retail and 31 condominiums on the above floors.

Permits Issued for 825 E 61st Street in Woodlawn

Construction permits were recently issued for a five-story mixed-use development at 825 E 61st Street in Woodlawn. 5 Seasons Development Company is the permit’s listed owner, whose plans include ground-floor retail space, 56 units, a rooftop deck and stair enclosures, and an elevator. Parking will comprise of a 21-car ground-level garage and eight exterior parking spaces. The new structure will replace a vacant grass lot.

Developer Proposes Retail Development Above Kennedy Expressway at 708 W Wayman Street in the Fulton River District

Developer R2 Companies has proposed a commercial development above the Kennedy Expressway at 708 W Wayman Street in the Fulton River District. Bounded by N Halsted Street to the west, W Wayman Street to the south, and train lines to the north, the site is currently a surface parking lot that tops the Kennedy Expressway.
