Work Reaches Fifth Floor of 609 W Randolph Street in West Loop Gate

Steel construction has reached the fifth level for 609 W Randolph Street, a 15-story mixed-use building rising in West Loop Gate. Vista Property Group is the developer for the more than 100,000-square-foot project, which will house 1,770 square feet of retail on the first story and office space on the upper floors. The new structure will replace a former parking lot while integrating with a neighboring four-story masonry building that was built in the 1890s.

Tribune Tower Conversion Draws Toward Completion Along Magnificent Mile

Construction is approaching completion for the condominium and retail conversion of the landmarked 34-story Tribune Tower, located at 435 N Michigan Avenue along Magnificent Mile. CIM Group and Golub & Company have planned the renovation of the tower, built in 1925 in the Gothic Revival style. The Chicago Tribune occupied the building up until it relocated to One Prudential Plaza in 2018. The new plans for the tower include 47,500 square feet of retail in the base, 162 condominiums, and 55,000 square feet of amenities.
