YIMBY spotted what appears to be a test facade piece on the lot of 1325 W Fulton Market, a project developed by Sterling Bay and designed by Skidmore, Owings & Merrill. Located at the west end of the rising Fulton Market neighborhood, the site is located at the corner of W Fulton Market and N Ada Street, just across from Sterling Bay’s Fulton West at 1330 W Fulton Market. Nearby bus transit is a nine-minute walk southwest to the 9 route’s Ashland & Lake stop, as well as a nine-minute walk southeast to the 19 route’s Washington & Racine bus stop. Nearby CTA L stops include a seven-minute walk southwest to Ashland Station and a ten-minute walk southeast to Morgan Station, both of which are serviced by the Green and Pink Lines.

Construction is well underway at 800 W Fulton Market, a large office space development in the northwest corner of the fast-developing Fulton Market neighborhood. Designed by Skidmore, Owings & Merrill (SOM) and developed by Thor Equities, the rising 18-story structure will occupy an entire block along the northern side of W Fulton Market, between N Green Street and N Halsted Street.

Renderings Revealed for 1400 Monroe, a New Residential Development in West Loop

Construction permits have been filed for a seven-story residential building at 1404 W Monroe Street in West Loop. The project is branded as “1400 Monroe” and permit filings list 1400 Monroe Owner LLC as responsible for the development. The corner lot is located at the intersection of W Monroe Street and S Loomis Street, and lies just north from Skinner park and one block west of Mark T. West Elementary School. The 20 bus route runs just north of the property along W Madison Street, with the nearest stop one block away on S Loomis Street. The north-and-south-oriented 9 bus route is also located in the vicinity, with stations two blocks northwest and two blocks southwest. Nearby CTA L stations include a seven-minute walk southeast to Racine station on the Blue Line, as well as a 12-minute walk northwest to Ashland station on the Pink and Green Lines.

Construction permits have been filed for a 17-story mixed-use building at 808 N Wells Street in Near North Side. The lot sits along River North’s northern edge, at the corner of N Wells Street and W Chicago Avenue. The property also lies between two Route 66 bus stops, each approximately a one-minute walk east or west. There are also two nearby “Chicago” CTA L stations within walking distance, one serviced by the Brown and Purple Lines, the other serviced by the Red Line.

Permits have been filed for a five-story mixed-use building at 4806 N Magnolia Avenue in Uptown, between the southeast corner of St. Boniface Catholic Cemetery and the intersection of N Magnolia Avenue and W Lawrence Avenue. The lot sits just two blocks west of the Lawrence CTA L station serviced by the red line and purple express line. The nearby CTA bus 22 and 81 lines also stop at the intersection of N Broadway and W Lawrence Avenue, a two-minute walk East.

The interior lot is located between W Buckingham Place and W Aldine Avenue. The nearest public transportation is the 8 CTA bus accessed at the Halsted and Aldine stop at the end of the block. Less than a ten-minute walk is the Belmont CTA “L” station serviced by the Red, Brown, and Purple Lines. The site is also one block east of N Clark Street, a busy commercial and retail corridor, and a 15-minute walk from Belmont Harbor along the lakeshore. The site is located just east of N Sheridan Road, with the lot sitting next to the CTA L tracks. A one-minute walk from the property across N Sheridan Road is the Sheridan CTA L station. The 151 CTA bus stops at the Sheridan Red Line stop as well. The site is also one block south of W Irving Park Road and a five-minute walk from Wrigley Field, four blocks to the south. Sheridan Red Line LLC is listed as the owner behind the applications.
