A demolition permit was issued by the City of Chicago on March 18 to tear down a small retail plaza at 4313 North Lincoln Avenue in the North Center neighborhood, making room for a proposed residential development from Mangan Builders. They have a pending permit in the Chicago Data Portal for a four-story, 12-unit building on the site, addressed as 4309 North Lincoln.

Foundation Piles Permitted For Bathhouse At Madison And Morgan In The West Loop

A new construction permit was issued Friday, January 24, to allow for driving foundation piles that will support a three-story bathhouse at Madison and Morgan Streets in the West Loop. Fulton St. Companies is building the facility for Bathhouse, a Brooklyn, NY company, to occupy. The building replaces a surface parking lot, which earlier this decade was to be replaced by a 10-story condominium development, also under Fulton St.’s leadership.

Update On Demolition For TimeLine Theatre at 5035 North Broadway in Uptown

Partial demolition of the former W. C. Reebie and Brother storage building at 5035 North Broadway in Uptown has left only the rearmost portion of the structure still standing. The gutted skeleton of the five-floor building is all that remains, and even that has gaping holes in the roof and back wall, exposing it to the sky. What remains of this partial demo will be used as office spaces and to anchor the forthcoming development.
