Landmark Development has revealed updated plans for its proposed ONE Central mega-development located in the Near South Side. Poised to cover the existing Metra Weldon Yard, the site spans over 32 acres from E 14th Street to the north, Inner Lake Shore Drive to the east, McCormick Place to the south, and the CN rail tracks to the west.
The approved 16-story office tower at 311 W Huron Street awaits groundbreaking in River North. Poised as part of the Verso River North development, the tower will replace an existing surface parking lot along W Huron Street. The site is located at the intersection of W Huron Street and N Franklin Street, on the southern side of the street. The CTA Brown Line tracks run alongside the property above N Franklin Street. North Wells Capital is the developer behind the project.
The proposed zoning has been approved for a new 15-story office tower at 609 W Randolph Street in West Loop Gate. The project site is an interior lot along W Randolph Street between N Jefferson Street and N Des Plaines Street. Vista Property Group is in charge of the development.
Construction is now complete for 110 N Wacker Drive, aka Bank of America Tower, a 56-story office skyscraper located in The Loop. The 817-foot-tall edifice secures spot number six in Chicago YIMBY’s year-end countdown of tallest new developments.
