Plan Commission Approves Mixed-Use Development At 170 N Green Street In Fulton Market

The Chicago Plan Commission has approved the mixed-use development at 170 N Green Street in Fulton Market. The updated design for the two tower proposal on the site that, until recently housed the Bridgford Foods plant, was presented to the commission in this month’s meeting. The project is being developed by Clayco’s CRG division and local developer Shapack Partners. The team is working with Lamar Johnson Collaborative on the modern design of the upcoming high-rise and recently received approval for their Humboldt Park project.

Groundbreakings Announced For Two Fulton Market Projects

Potential groundbreaking have been announced for two Fulton Market projects after securing the land sale and anchor tenants this week. The two projects in question are the life sciences building at 400 N Elizabeth Street and the office building at 360 N Green Street, each led by different developers but delivering similar amounts of leasable space at each end of the quickly growing neighborhood. All together they will bring roughly 1 million square feet of new commercial space in an area poaching new leases at a faster rate than most.

Initial Plans Revealed For Mixed-Use Development At 535 N St. Clair Street In Streeterville

Initial details have been revealed for a new mixed-use development at 535 N St. Clair Street in Streeterville. Located on the northeast corner with E Grand Avenue, the new structure will replace a three-story 255-space parking garage adjacent to some low-rise commercial and mid-rise residential buildings. Developer Mavrek Development is working with local architecture firm NORR on the design of the mid-rise that will bring new life to an often overlooked intersection.

Updated Details Revealed For Mixed-Use Development At 350 N Morgan Street In Fulton Market

Updated details have been revealed for the mixed-use development at 350 N Morgan Street in Fulton Market. With new leases being signed and projects being revealed weekly, the building will be located on the intersection with W Carroll Avenue directly across the street from the quickly growing 345 N Morgan Street and from the Google Midwest headquarters. Developer Sterling Bay has tweaked the design with information being recently updated on their website for the Skidmore Owings & Merrill-designed structure.

Initial Details Revealed For The Redevelopment Of 900 N North Branch On Goose Island

Initial details have been revealed for the redevelopment of an existing commercial building at 900 N North Branch Street on Goose Island. Located just west of the intersection with N Halsted Street, the existing masonry-clad, industrial-style building most famously housed local culinary school Kendall College for many years and is now being pivoted as class A office space. Owner and developer W.P. Carey is working with Madison Rose on the project and are currently in the selection process for an architect to execute the renovations.

1690 N Elston Office Redevelopment Takes Shape in West Town

Construction can be seen at the site of West Town‘s 1690 N Elston Avenue, where Property Adventures Corporation has planned a boutique office redevelopment of a former industrial building. This existing masonry structure will be renovated, while a new 10,000-square-foot addition will attach to its west-facing side.

ALLY at 1229 W Concord Place Tops Out at Lincoln Yards

Structural work has topped out for the eight-story life sciences center known as ALLY at 1229 W Concord Place. This 320,000 square-foot development by Sterling Bay is the first phase of the gargantuan Lincoln Yards master plan, which will ultimately span 55 acres along Chicago’s North Branch Corridor.

The Chicago Plan Commission has approved the mixed-use development at 360 N Green Street in Fulton Market. Replacing a vacant lot just east of the recently announced Guinness Brewhouse, the Sterling Bay-led project is being designed by Gensler and has gone through a series of revisions, most recently this past February. The approval is the second tower moving forward this month in the area with the residential-heavy 1353 W Fulton Street also getting the green light.
