Construction Commences on 920 W Cullerton Street at Mural Park in Pilsen

Construction has begun on the second phase of the adaptive reuse development dubbed Mural Park. Located at 920 W Cullerton Street in Pilsen, the building is the second of two old warehouses that will be transformed into Class-A office space. The site for the two buildings is bound by W 19th Street to the north, S Sangamon Street to the west, W Cullerton Street to the south, and adjacent buildings to the east, with S Peoria Street enclosing the full block.

Construction is nearing completion on a four-story mixed-use development at 2145 S Halsted Street in Pilsen. The interior lot is located along S Halsted Street between W Cermak Road and W 21st Place. The nearest public transportation is the Route 21 CTA bus accessed at the Cermak and Halsted stop at the end of the block. The Halsted CTA L station, serviced by the Orange Line is the nearest stop, a ten-minute walk away. Vision Group Investments LLC is in charge of the development.

Plan Commission Approves Heiwa Terrace Renovation at 920 W Lawrence Avenue in Uptown

The Chicago Plan Commission has approved the renovation of Heiwa Terrace, an affordable senior housing complex in Uptown. Located at 920 W Lawrence Avenue, the project site is at the intersection of W Lawrence Avenue and N Sheridan Road. The Lawrence CTA L station, serviced by the Red Line, is within a six-minute walk away. Both the 81 and 151 CTA bus routes are accessible at the Sheridan and Lawrence stop, located directly adjacent to the site.

Construction is progressing on the multi-building development, PLSN Condos, located at 816-832 W Cullerton Street in Pilsen. The site is between S Halsted Street and S Peoria Street. The nearest public transportation is the 8 and 62 CTA bus routes, accessed at the Halsted and Cullerton stop, within a one-minute walk from the site. Public 2 LLC is the developer behind the project.

Permit Review Committee Approves Adaptive Reuse Development at 4753 N Broadway in Uptown

The Permit Review Committee, a subcommittee of the Commission on Chicago Landmarks, has approved the adaptive reuse development at 4753 N Broadway in Uptown. Located on the southeastern corner of N Broadway and W Lawrence Avenue, the existing building is the former Sheridan Bank and Trust Building, now named the Bridgeview Bank Building. The Lawrence CTA L station, serviced by the Red Line, is within a two-minute walk. The 36 and 81 CTA bus routes can be accessed at the Broadway and Lawrence stop, directly adjacent to the site.

The Chicago CTA L station, serviced by the Blue Line, is a six-minute walk from the site. The 66 CTA bus route, accessed at the Chicago and Elizabeth stop, is a two-minute walk from the site. The Community Development Commission has approved the proposed Friend Health Medical Campus project. Located at 6250 S Cottage Grove Avenue in Woodlawn, the project will span two adjacent sites, located at the intersection of E 63rd Street and S Cottage Grove Avenue. The Cottage Grove CTA L station, serviced by the Green Line, is accessed directly adjacent to the site. The 4 and 63 CTA bus routes also stop at the intersection of E 63rd Street and S Cottage Grove Avenue, giving direct access to the site. Friend Health Center and DL3 Realty are collaborating on the development.
