The Chicago Plan Commission has approved a mixed-use structure at 1340 W Washington Boulevard in West Loop. Located on the site of the Chicago Journeyman Plumber Local 130 UA campus, the structure will actually be located along W Randolph street, within the 4.1-acre larger campus addressed as 1340 W Washington Boulevard. The larger campus is bound by W Randolph Street, W Washington Boulevard, N Ada Street, N Ogden Avenue, and the recently-completed Plumbers Training Facility to the west. The development is being led by the Chicago Journeyman Plumber Local 130 UA and Chicago Title and Trust Company.

The approved Parcel I tower, located within the Lakeshore East development, takes the fourth spot in YIMBY’s Chicago’s tallest developments countdown. Located within the IJKL site, the tower will be located on the northern edge of the parcel, at the corner of E Wacker Drive and N Lake Shore Drive. Lendlease and Magellan Development Group are in charge of the development of Parcel I, in addition to Cirrus and Cascade, the towers at the J and K/L sites.
The approved two-tower development at 400 N Lake Shore Drive breaks into the top five in Chicago’s tallest developments countdown. Located on the former Chicago Spire site, the lot is bound by the Chicago River to the south and Lake Shore Drive to the east. Both the Zoning Committee and Chicago City Council have approved the updated plans for the project at 400 N Lake Shore Drive in Streeterville, allowing it to move forward. Renderings have been revealed for a proposed residential building at 2934 W Medill Avenue in Logan Square. Located along W Medill Avenue, the development will be bound by public alleyways to the west and north of the site. Wilmot Properties is the developer behind the proposed project.
The Chicago Plan Commission has approved the updated development plans for 4600 N Kenmore Avenue in Uptown. Located at the corner of W Wilson Avenue and N Kenmore Avenue, the site consists of the new mixed-use development at 4600 N Kenmore Avenue and the existing former bank building at 1050 W Wilson Avenue.
