Full construction permits have been issued for a four-story residential building set for 1838 N Western Avenue in Logan Square. Planned by Comet Development LLC, the project had a demolition permit issued for the prior single-story masonry building last August, with the latest construction permits issued this past Monday.

Greif Properties, Inc. is the developer behind the project, whose plans comprise of three condominium units, a rooftop deck, a basement, a three-story rear steel staircase, and a concrete parking pad with three spaces.
Construction permits have been issued for a three-story residential building at 3536 N Lowell Avenue in Kilbourn Park. Rafael Szymanski is the filing owner, whose plans include multiple rooftop decks and stair enclosures, a basement, and a detached six-car garage. The new structure will occupy the site of a masonry two-flat and detached garage. The owner also received approval from the City in September 2019, to convert the property from a designation of RS-3 Residential Single-Unit District to RM-4.5, Residential Multi-Unit District.

JL Development LLC is behind the project, who last year received zoning approval to reduce the rear and side setbacks. The new structure will replace a currently vacant lot and yield five residential units, a rooftop deck and stair enclosure, a basement, and five exterior parking spaces on a concrete parking pad.
