Plans Revealed For Mixed-Use Development At 3601 N California Avenue in Irving Park

Plans have been revealed for a new mixed-use development at 3601 N California Avenue in Irving Park. Developer Lexington Homes has partnered up with architects Pappageorge Haymes to bring a total of 357 units to the former seven-acre home of DePaul College Prep along the north branch of the Chicago River. Bound by N California Avenue to the west and W Addison Street to the south, the existing campus will be demolished and replaced with an apartment building and 88 townhomes.

Glass, metal, and brick continues to envelope the 12-story mixed-use building known as 1045 on Fulton Market currently underway in West Loop‘s Fulton Market District. The 150,000-square-foot development, planned by Fulton Street Companies alongside Intercontinental Real Estate is set to house a combination of ground-level retail and office space on the upper floors. The new structure, officially addressed as 1045 W Fulton Market, is replacing a former parking lot and single-story masonry building.

First Phase of Triangle Square Readies for Move-Ins in Bucktown

Work is nearing the finish line for the first phase of construction at Belgravia Group and LMC’s Triangle Square along the North Branch Corridor in Bucktown. The three-building masterplan designed by Lamar Johnson Collaborative, is bound by N Elston Avenue, W Webster Avenue, and the Metra tracks. Combined, this staggered development will yield a total of 370 residences, 56,000 square feet of commercial space, and 343 parking spaces. Two of the three buildings are currently in their final stages of construction, while the third commercial building is awaiting for work to begin.

The Chicago Committee on Design has reviewed a proposed mixed-use development at 3201 W 31st Street in Little Village. Envisioned as a campus, the now 30-acre development aims to bring life to a partially occupied lot enclosed by W 31st Street to the north, S Kedzie Avenue to the east, and the future Cinespace Campus 2 to the west. Developer Chicago Southwest Development Corporation (CSDC) has teamed up with HDR Architecture to design the massive southwest side complex.
