First Of Two Permits Issued For Eight-Unit Buildings At Western And Flournoy In Tri-Taylor

The first of two construction permits has been issued by the City of Chicago for a pair of four-story, eight-unit residential buildings in the Tri-Taylor neighborhood. A demolition permit came through on New Year’s Eve for 701 South Western Avenue, and now permission has been granted to begin the new development, although this first one won’t be on the demolition site, per se.

Zoning Partially Approved For 1239 N Wood Street In Wicker Park

Initial zoning has been approved for the residential expansion of the existing property at 1239 N Wood Street in Wicker Park. Announced several years ago, the project has faced a fair amount of scrutiny from its surrounding neighbors due to density and traffic. However, the Committee on Zoning has given the proposal the green light to be reviewed by the City Council.
