The new construction permit has been issued by the City of Chicago to replace a home demolished in February at 3739 North Clifton Avenue in Wrigleyville. An application to build was filed by property owner United Chicago Builders in January, a month before the original building was torn down, with the permit coming through four months later on May 27. It cites a reported construction cost of $850,000.
The first phase of Fullerton Pointe has topped out and is getting its brick on at 519 West Fullerton Parkway in Lincoln Park. Scaffolding and wrap shroud the front façade in mystery as masonry work is applied, but you can catch a glimpse of what it will look like on the building’s east wall. At the rear of the property, masonry work is ongoing to form the garage, which will contain eight parking stalls and will be topped by a roof deck.
The four-story addition to the residential building at 3839 North Clark Street in the Wrigleyville neighborhood of Lake View has already climbed to its top story. That marks significant progress since the last visit to the site, which saw the concrete basement in place. The addition adds six more dwelling units to the five-story apartment development Mangan Builders constructed next door.
A three-story plus basement, two-unit residential building has been permitted for construction at 5412 South Dearborn Street in Washington Park. Issued on May 30th, the permit shows an application date of December 4th, 2024 and comes with a reported construction cost of $1.2 million.
The condominium development at 405 West Armitage Avenue in Old Town has topped out at the triangle intersection of Armitage, Lincoln Avenue, and Sedgwick Street. Barrett Homes, as general contractor and developer, is behind the construction project, which will deliver six dwelling units to the Lincoln Park Community Area.
