Initial site work is set to commence in the coming months for a new mixed-use hospital complex at 3201 W 31st Street in Little Village. Dubbed ‘Focal Point Community Campus’, the project will serve as the new home for St. Anthony hospital as its current location continues to age. Efforts are being led by the hospital and Chicago Southwest Development Corp.
The single-story masonry building at 1230 West Fulton Market has been permitted for demolition. Formerly the home of Four Star Foods, who closed up shop and moved to Heart of Chicago a few years ago, the building is on the site of the future 1200 West Fulton development from Fulton Street Companies and JDL Development. That project received approval from the Chicago Plan Commission in October of last year.
A permit has been issued by the City of Chicago allowing for the construction of a four-story, three-unit residential building at 4443 South Vincennes Avenue in Grand Boulevard. McBrearty Construction of Mount Greenwood is both the developer and general contractor, with 360 Design Studio named as the architect of record. The permit application was filed on March 27, with the permit coming through on April 4. It shows a reported construction cost of $840,000.
Renderings have been revealed for another upcoming project in Evanston at 605 Davis Street. Located on the corner with Chicago Avenue, we covered when news on the proposal first broke back in January, set to become the city’s tallest. Efforts are being led by local developer Vermilion Development with architecture firm SCB in charge of its design.
Construction progress is ongoing at 1445 West Roscoe Street in Lake View, where MMNT Development LLC is erecting a two-unit condominium building. V & M Development of Evanston is the general contractor for the project, which received a permit from the City of Chicago on August 29 of last year, following an application five weeks previous on July 23. At the time of issuance, construction costs were reported as $756,000.
