Construction of a sales center for the 1325 West Fulton condominium development has begun on the southeast corner of Ada and Fulton Streets in the Fulton Market District. The construction permit was issued April 22 for the single-story edifice, which Sulo Development will use to market their proposed condominiums in the first of three towers at the site.

As of Monday May 19, the asphalt parking lot had been scraped into oblivion, and the footer outlining the sales center was in the ground. There will be a 10-space surface parking lot available at the center for sales staff and perspective condo owners. Sulo aims to break ground for the first residential phase in 2026, after which the sales center will be demolished to clear the space for the second and third towers.

The goal is to sell a set percentage of units before beginning construction on the first condo tower, east of the sales center on the corner of Fulton and Elizabeth Streets. ParkFowler Plus, who is also involved in the design of the residential buildings, is the architect of record on this permit, and McHugh Construction will be the general contractor.

I wonder why they’re waiting to begin the tower. Pre-sales?
