Partial funding has been granted for the upcoming mixed-use development at 5050 S Prairie Avenue in Grand Boulevard. Located at the corner of E 51st Street, the proposal, dubbed 5050 Prairie, will replace a large vacant lot and a pair of existing commercial buildings. The funding comes from the city’s Community Development Grant.
Permission has been granted by the City of Chicago to build a three-story, three-unit residential building at 2929 West Washington Boulevard in Garfield Park. Cipher Construction LLC is named as the general contractor, and is registered to the same Oak Park address as the listed owner of the property. The application to build was filed on March 28, and it came through on May 29 with a reported construction cost of $600,000.
Details have been revealed for a new community center at 2653 S Kildare Avenue in Little Village. Sitting on the northeast corner with W 27th Avenue, the proposal will eventually be replacing a large vacant lot in the west end of the neighborhood. The project is being led by local nonprofit Erie Neighborhood House.
Construction permission has been granted to build new residences at 3740 North Racine Avenue in the Wrigleyville neighborhood. The application for the three-story plus basement, two-unit building was filed on April 11 and the permit came through on June 5th showing a reported construction cost of $750,000.
Details have been revealed for a residential development at 3045 N Western Avenue, near the southern border of Roscoe Village. Located mid-block between W Barry Avenue and W Nelson Street, the small project will replace a pair of garage buildings and part of a vacant lot. Efforts on the proposal are being led by local developer Marat Liavitskyi.
