Updated Details Revealed For Mixed-Use Development At 350 N Morgan Street In Fulton Market

Updated details have been revealed for the mixed-use development at 350 N Morgan Street in Fulton Market. With new leases being signed and projects being revealed weekly, the building will be located on the intersection with W Carroll Avenue directly across the street from the quickly growing 345 N Morgan Street and from the Google Midwest headquarters. Developer Sterling Bay has tweaked the design with information being recently updated on their website for the Skidmore Owings & Merrill-designed structure.

Initial Details Revealed For The Redevelopment Of 900 N North Branch On Goose Island

Initial details have been revealed for the redevelopment of an existing commercial building at 900 N North Branch Street on Goose Island. Located just west of the intersection with N Halsted Street, the existing masonry-clad, industrial-style building most famously housed local culinary school Kendall College for many years and is now being pivoted as class A office space. Owner and developer W.P. Carey is working with Madison Rose on the project and are currently in the selection process for an architect to execute the renovations.

1690 N Elston Office Redevelopment Takes Shape in West Town

Construction can be seen at the site of West Town‘s 1690 N Elston Avenue, where Property Adventures Corporation has planned a boutique office redevelopment of a former industrial building. This existing masonry structure will be renovated, while a new 10,000-square-foot addition will attach to its west-facing side.

ALLY at 1229 W Concord Place Tops Out at Lincoln Yards

Structural work has topped out for the eight-story life sciences center known as ALLY at 1229 W Concord Place. This 320,000 square-foot development by Sterling Bay is the first phase of the gargantuan Lincoln Yards master plan, which will ultimately span 55 acres along Chicago’s North Branch Corridor.

Final Touches Remain for 320 S Canal Street in West Loop Gate

Both landscaping and facade work are nearing completion for the 52-story 320 S Canal Street, aka BMO Tower, located near the southern end of West Loop Gate. This 727-foot-tall office tower has been co-developed by Riverside Investment & Development and Convexity Properties.

Plan Commission Approves Mixed-Use Development At 360 N Green Street In Fulton Market

The Chicago Plan Commission has approved the mixed-use development at 360 N Green Street in Fulton Market. Replacing a vacant lot just east of the recently announced Guinness Brewhouse, the Sterling Bay-led project is being designed by Gensler and has gone through a series of revisions, most recently this past February. The approval is the second tower moving forward this month in the area with the residential-heavy 1353 W Fulton Street also getting the green light.

Updated details and renderings have been revealed for the mixed-use development at 360 N Green Street in Fulton Market. Located north of the Metra tracks, the currently vacant lot will be replaced by the tower and a small pocket park developed by Sterling Bay with Gensler providing design services for the project. This will be the third iteration we’ve seen of the finalized design and presented to the community yesterday with further explanation of the changes.

Committee On Design Reviews Mixed-Use Proposal At 170 N Green Street In Fulton Market

Updated plans have been reviewed by the Committee on Design for the mixed-use development at 170 N Green Street in the West Loop. The project has received a few design updates with new details being presented to a committee packed with famed local designers. Developer Shapack Partners is no stranger to the area, having developed 167 N Green Street directly east of the site and is partnering with the Lamar Johnson Collaborative on the new multi-tower structure.

City Celebrates Two Years Of Invest South/West

The City of Chicago and Mayor Lori Lightfoot are celebrating two years of the Invest South/West initiative across the city. The program launched in 2019 with $750 million in public funding for projects across 12 commercial corridors in 10 south- and west-side communities aimed at creating jobs, improving safety, and providing housing options. With many winners announced in the last two years, the projects have also spurred plenty of private developments in areas being reinvigorated by the program.

The Chicago Plan Commission has approved the mixed-use development at 3201 W 31st Street in Little Village. Dubbed the Focal Point Campus, the massive project will be anchored by a new facility for Saint Anthony Hospital and is located just southwest of the intersection with S Kedzie Avenue. Developer Chicago Southwest Development Corporation has partnered with local firm HDR Architecture on the 30-acre, $600 million complex.
