Construction equipment is now on site, with foundation work imminent for Sterling Bay‘s first building at Lincoln Yards. This new structure, known as ALLY at 1229 W Concord, will serve as an eight-story office venue for bioscience-related companies. At 320,000 square feet, the edifice will feature a double-story lobby, flexible floor plates, and an east-facing terrace with river and skyline views.
Glass, metal, and brick continues to envelope the 12-story mixed-use building known as 1045 on Fulton Market currently underway in West Loop‘s Fulton Market District. The 150,000-square-foot development, planned by Fulton Street Companies alongside Intercontinental Real Estate is set to house a combination of ground-level retail and office space on the upper floors. The new structure, officially addressed as 1045 W Fulton Market, is replacing a former parking lot and single-story masonry building.
Work is nearing the finish line for the first phase of construction at Belgravia Group and LMC’s Triangle Square along the North Branch Corridor in Bucktown. The three-building masterplan designed by Lamar Johnson Collaborative, is bound by N Elston Avenue, W Webster Avenue, and the Metra tracks. Combined, this staggered development will yield a total of 370 residences, 56,000 square feet of commercial space, and 343 parking spaces. Two of the three buildings are currently in their final stages of construction, while the third commercial building is awaiting for work to begin.
The Chicago Committee on Design has reviewed a proposed mixed-use development at 3201 W 31st Street in Little Village. Envisioned as a campus, the now 30-acre development aims to bring life to a partially occupied lot enclosed by W 31st Street to the north, S Kedzie Avenue to the east, and the future Cinespace Campus 2 to the west. Developer Chicago Southwest Development Corporation (CSDC) has teamed up with HDR Architecture to design the massive southwest side complex.
With window installation now complete, the remaining metal paneling is being installed for a unique boutique office building, rising six stories at 1525 N Elston Avenue in West Town. Prior to development, the property was occupied by two masonry residential buildings and a vacant lot.
