Foundation excavation is underway now that demolition is complete of an early-1900s frame house at 2307 West Foster Avenue in Lincoln Square. A demolition permit was issued for the property on the 9th of this month; the new construction permit was issued December 10 of 2024. DV Development of Huntley, IL is named as the developer and general contractor.
Work is underway on a five-story, 56-unit residential development at 1101 West Berwyn Avenue in the Edgewater neighborhood. A new construction permit, issued using the address of 5256 North Winthrop Avenue, came through on December 26, 2024, and developer and general contractor Panoptic Group wasted no time getting started.
A residential development delivering 12 new units across the street from Humboldt Park is underway at 1604 North Francisco Avenue. Located on the northwest corner of North and Francisco Avenues, the five-story elevator building will include nine parking spaces in the first level, with a roof deck, stair enclosures, and elevator overrun atop the fifth floor.
Construction progress at 2354 North Washtenaw Avenue in Logan Square has reached the underside of the fifth and uppermost floor, as brickwork has made its way up four floors on all sides. This is the neighbor and sibling property of 2357 North Washtenaw, which we visited Thursday. Both projects broke ground in 2024.
The second of two adjacent five-story Logan Square residential projects has begun construction at Washtenaw and Fullerton. A 15-unit building is underway at 2357 North Washtenaw Avenue, which sits right across the street from its sibling project at 2354 North Washtenaw, and it’s starting to see brickwork and concrete block set for the first floor. Wilmot Properties, as they are next door, is the general contractor and developer here.
