City Council Approves Two Mixed-use Developments in Wicker Park

The Chicago City Council has approved two mixed-use developments at 1235 N Ashland Avenue and 1301 N Ashland Avenue in Wicker Park. Located on two separate lots just north of the intersection with N Milwaukee Avenue and across the street from Wicker Park Commons, both of the proposals will replace five-existing buildings in total dating back to the late 1800s. Grand Properties Acquisitions, LLC is behind both with local firm Hanna Architects working on their design.

Permit Issued for 6317 S Rhodes Avenue in West Woodlawn

A construction permit has been issued for a new residential development located at 6317 S Rhodes Avenue in West Woodlawn. The project is set to feature a two-story building with two dwelling units, complete with a basement and a detached two-vehicle garage. The site was previously home to a vacant grass lot, of which Champlain Rhodes, LLC is listed as the owner and developer.

A construction permit has been issued for a new residential development located at 6322 S Rhodes Avenue in West Woodlawn. The project, owned by Champlain Rhodes, LLC, is set to feature a two-story, two dwelling unit residential structure with a basement. This new construction will replace what was previously a vacant site.

The property will soon host a two-story, two-unit building with a basement, replacing an empty lot that was once occupied by a two-story frame building (demolished late 2014). 6427 S Rhodes Avenue Receives Permit in West Woodlawn

4605 S Langley Receives Permit in Bronzeville

The residential project reveals features such as a rear patio, a three-story rear porch/stairs, and parking for three vehicles. The listed owner is Jacobdabuilder Inc, with architectural plans developed by Hanna Architects. Currently, no drawings or designs have yet been posted.

Volo Holdings LLC is the developer behind the project, which will consist of a four-story building with six residential units, a ground-floor office space, a rooftop deck, a rooftop stair enclosure, and a three-vehicle garage on the first floor. The project is set to replace a narrow, vacant grass lot.
