Construction progress is ongoing on the apartment building at 2839 West Belmont Avenue in Avondale. Located just west of the intersection with California Avenue, developer Wilmot Properties is bringing 24 rental units to the neighborhood in a five-story, two-toned brick structure. The project will include office space and a 24-car garage on the ground floor, according to the construction permit issued by the City of Chicago on December 26 of last year.

Designed by Hanna Architects, there will be covered balconies on all four residential floors at the front of the building, and the upper three floors at the rear. A roof deck will cover a portion of the garage facing the alley. Wilmot Properties is also the general contractor, erecting on a site that had previously been a vacant lot.
