A new development at 932 W Randolph Street in the West Loop has been approved by the Commission on Chicago Landmarks. Located within Fulton-Randolph Market District, at the northwest corner of W Randolph Street and N Sangamon Street, the project is led by L3 Capital and will redevelop an existing three-story structure.

Landmarks Commission Approves Development at 1020 W Randolph in the West Loop

The Commission on Chicago Landmarks (CCL) has granted approval to a new building at 1020 W Randolph Street in the West Loop. Located within Fulton-Randolph Market District, and the northeast corner of W Randolph Street and N Carpenter Street, the development looks to demolish a one-story bank with drive-through and construct a new five-story structure with mechanical enclosure, penthouse, and rooftop deck. The project is being led by L3 Capital, who will also be applying for a zoning ordinance for the site.

Renderings Revealed for Emmett Street Apartments in Logan Square

Construction is imminent at 2614 N Emmett Street in Logan Square, the site of the new Emmett Street Apartments. The prospective seven-story mixed-use building will have affordable housing. Located along N Emmett Street, the site sits at the corner of N Emmett Street and N Kedzie Avenue, stretching most of the block along N Emmett Street between N Kedzie Avenue and N Sawyer Avenue. The nearest public transportation is the Logan Square CTA L station, serviced by the Blue Line, located directly across the street. The 56 and 76 CTA bus lines are also accessible at the Logan Square stop. Emmett Apartments, LP is listed as the owner of the applications, with Bickerdike Redevelopment Corporation as the developer for the project.

Located at the intersection of W Grand Avenue and N Hermitage Avenue, the corner lot takes up the majority of the city block. Nearby bus transit is a nine-minute walk southwest to the 9 route’s Ashland & Lake stop, as well as a nine-minute walk southeast to the 19 route’s Washington & Racine bus stop. Nearby CTA L stops include a seven-minute walk southwest to Ashland Station and a ten-minute walk southeast to Morgan Station, both of which are serviced by the Green and Pink Lines.
