Renovation Permit Issued For Rehab And One ADU At 2920 West Palmer Street In Palmer Square

A renovation permit issued by the City of Chicago on March 17 authorized the renovation of a residential building at 2920-22 West Palmer Street in the Palmer Square neighborhood. One Additional Dwelling Unit is also permitted for the building, which held seven residences before the update, bringing its new total to eight. Studio Oakley is the developer of the project. Real estate records show they purchased the building, built in 1928, late last year for $1.532 million; the permit shows a reported construction cost of $880,000 for the renovation and ADU.

Renovation Permit Will Add Three-Story Addition To Vintage Ukrainian Village Building

A renovation permit has been issued for the residential building at 2114 West Augusta Boulevard in Ukrainian Village, allowing for the construction of a new addition onto the rear of the existing three-story structure. Volo Holdings is the owner of the property, and their permit came through on March 24. Hanna Architects designed the new plans for them, which will also include rehabbing the 1908-built residence.

Demolition Nearing Completion For 3631 North Sheffield, With Neighbors Soon To Follow

The first of three adjacent buildings to be razed for a new residential development just beyond the right field wall at Wrigley Field is nearing completion. The building at 3631 North Sheffield Avenue in Wrigleyville has been reduced to a tiny portion of the north façade and the front stairs to the entryway. To its left and right, two more buildings will soon meet the same fate, as all three come down for a residential development on the site.
