One Chicago East Tower Races Towards Completion At Second Place In Countdown

Claiming the second place in the Chicago YIMBY 2021 countdown is the east tower of One Chicago, which tops out at 971 feet tall in River North. Part of One Chicago’s two-building complex is the west tower which claimed the sixth place in the countdown, the structures replaced a parking lot that once belonged to the Holy Name Cathedral across the street. Developer JDL teamed up with Hartshorne Plunkard Architecture and Goettsch Partners on the Art Deco-inspired skyscraper which also claims the eighth tallest spot in the skyline per CTBUH.

Final Cladding Brings West Loop’s Evo Union Park Closer to Finish Line

Final face brick installation can be seen along Evo Union Park, an 11-story residential development approaching completion at West Loop’s 1454 W Randolph Street. Within this $64 million undertaking, developer Marquette Companies has planned for 242 total apartment dwellings, ranging from convertible layouts through two-bedroom residences. There will also be a total of 87 parking spaces and 48 bike storage slots housed within the ground-floor garage.

West Loop’s Parq Fulton Takes 15th Place in Year-End Countdown

At number 15 in the year-end countdown of tallest construction projects is 1400 W Randolph Street, aka Parq Fulton, a 26-story mixed-use tower nearing completion at the western end of Fulton Market in West Loop. Marquette Companies‘ plans for the 282-foot project involve 10,000 square feet of mercantile space and 278 rental apartment units. The ground-floor retail will be occupied by one retail space and a new restaurant, which received an interior buildout permit this past October. The apartments, meanwhile, will range from studios through three-bedrooms. Pricewise, studio begin at $2,075, one-bedrooms at $2,549, two-bedrooms at $3,945, and three-bedrooms at $5,685.
