This new building is the next step in the Rush University Medical Campus expansion and will be located just to the east of the Joan and Paul Rubschlager building, which is currently under construction on its parking garage. There is an empty lot between these two projects that awaits a future building with up to 855,000 square feet of programming.

Construction Begins for 210 N Aberdeen Street in Fulton Market

The ever-growing Fulton Market district is now seeing another new addition, as construction has begun for a 19-story mixed-use building at 210 N Aberdeen Street. The 214-foot-tall structure, planned by LG Development Group, will sit on an L-shaped site and include 10,700 square feet of retail space and 363 apartment units. The scope and design have changed slightly prior to construction, having reduced the total units from 414 and the height from 239 feet.

As excavation work wraps up for the new 12-story apartment building at 140 N Ashland Avenue in Near West Side, Marquette Companies is preparing to begin construction on the new mixed-use development. The new building will be integrated with a 1920s-era five-story masonry building directly south, yielding a total of 210 apartments atop ground-level retail. The development will yield at a minimum 10 percent on-site affordable units, with a remaining five percent either on site or off site.
