Cladding is approaching the roofline for the new high-rise at 225 North Elizabeth Street in Fulton Market. The 28-story mixed-use development, located at the intersection of Fulton and Elizabeth Streets, is a collaboration between Sterling Bay and Ascentris.
The Chicago City Council has approved the mixed-use development at 375 N Morgan Street in Fulton Market. Also going as 901 W Kinzie Street, the structure will eventually replace the freshly paved parking lot behind the new Guinness Open Gate Brewery. Developed by Latsko Interest and JDL Development, the building is being designed by local firm Hartshorne Plunkard Architecture.
Demolition has begun at 901 N Halsted Street on Goose Island for Halsted Pointe, a multi-phase, mixed-use development by Onni Group. The development will replace the existing Greyhound bus terminal and introduce the island’s first high-rise skyscraper.
Updated plans have been revealed for the mixed-use skyscraper at 420 N May Street in the West Loop. Located on the northwest corner with W Kinzie Street, the proposal will replace a couple of existing structures and their adjacent parking lot. Miami-based developer Crescent Heights presented the HPA-designed plans to the community at a meeting earlier this week. The developer also recently placed the parcel earmarked for NEMA phase II in the South Loop for sale.
Structural work has reached full height for the 27-story 868 N Wells Street in Near North Side, replacing a former low-rise brick building that was demolished last year. The developer of this mixed-use tower is JDL, who has planned for 411 units and 12,000 square feet of retail.
