Construction Dates Announced For Next Phases Of Lincoln Yards

An updated construction timeline has been revealed for the Lincoln Yards mega development near Goose Island. With work completed on the initial phase of Ally at 1229 W Concord Place, developer Sterling Bay presented their updated phasing plan closer to what was revealed in 2021 during a recent community meeting. The next round of construction will also be phased out and with structures designed by various firms and plenty of new outdoor space.

Updated Groundbreaking Date Announced For Halsted Pointe On Goose Island

Updated construction dates have been announced for the first phase of the Halsted Pointe development at 901 N Halsted Street on Goose Island. Located on the island’s southern end near the future casino site, the multi-tower proposal will replace the existing Greyhound Bus facility. Canadian-based developer Onni Group is behind the project as well as the recently revised 357 N Green nearby, working with Hartshorne Plunkard Architecture on design and Hitchcock Design Group on the landscaping.

920 N Wells Nears Completion in Near North Side

Glass and metal installation is now wrapping up for the 21-story 920 N Wells Street in Near North Side. Developed by JDL as part of the massive North Union megadevelopment, this primarily residential mixed-use building is the first step in what will be a $1.3 billion master plan covering several blocks of land previously owned by the Moody Bible Institute.

Remaining Facade Work Crosses Finish Line for 1020 W Randolph Street in Fulton Market

Final facade installation is now wrapping up for a new five-story mixed-use building at 1020 W Randolph Street in Fulton Market. The developer, L3 Capital, plans to offer ground-floor retail and Class A office space above, as well as a 1,850-square-foot rooftop deck.

Tower Section Now Rising for 225 N Elizabeth Street in Fulton Market

Construction has begun on the tower section of 225 N Elizabeth Avenue, a 28-story mixed-use development in Fulton Market District. The project is developed by Sterling Bay and Ascentris, and will replace a former parking lot at the corner of Fulton Street and Elizabeth Street.

1200 W Fulton Market Receives First Demolition Permit

The first demolition permit has now been issued for a major new mixed-use development at 1200 W Fulton Street in Fulton Market. The development will replace a parking lot and three existing one-story industrial buildings with three structures, delivering 1.5 million square feet of space designed by Hartshorne Plunkard Architecture. The developer, Fulton Street Companies, is partnering with Waterton, a local landlord company, and Harrison Street Real Estate Capital .

The 28-story mixed-use development at 225 N Elizabeth Street in the Fulton Market District has started its construction phase with foundation work underway. The project has taken the 11th place in the 2022 year-end countdown and is located at the corner of W Fulton Street. The construction has now been cleared to rise over its low-height industrial neighbors.

Full construction permits have been granted for the mixed-use development at 225 N Elizabeth Street in the Fulton Market District. Located on the corner with W Fulton Street, the project took the 11th place in our 2022 year-end countdown and has started construction with foundation work well underway. Now construction has been cleared to fully rise over its low-height industrial neighbors. Developer Sterling Bay, who is also busy building up Lincoln Yards, and Colorado-based Ascentris are working with local architecture firm Hartshorne Plunkard Architecture on its design.

Renderings Revealed For Next Phase Of Lincoln Yards

Updated details have been revealed for one of the next phases of the Lincoln Yards mega-development near Goose Island. As work wrapped up on Ally at 1229 W Concord late last year, developer Sterling Bay has shifted its originally announced phasing plan on the HPA and Gensler designed proposal. The change is most likely due to a changing economy and thus brings the two mixed-use structures at the D2 and D3 riverfront parcels just north of Ally to the forefront. While parcels D1 and the market place were set to be delivered prior, no movement has been seen on those, a more detailed breakdown can be found here.
